“Our European Union is, at least in part, in an existential crisis,” President Juncker said in his 2016 State of the Union Address. His words still hold true. We believe the solution is more active Europeans who help tackle the climate crisis, bridge the social gap, promote inclusion and defend democracy.
The European Campaign Camp is a five-day residential training in Belgium. It empowers 25 active citizens from across Europe to further positive change. Participants learn how to identify and address issues that affect their community. They will become effective and creative campaigners by learning about theories of change, EU decision-making and tools used in other countries.
The European campaign camp builds on successful Campaign Boo(s)tcamps. These camps started in 2013 in the UK. Today, they take place more frequently and expanded to other regions, such as Germany, Switzerland, India and Kenya. This is Europe’s first version.
Where and when
The European Campaign Camp takes place near Brussels in Leuven from 25 to 31 August 2019.
The inclusive event provides facilities accessible to wheelchairs users, CART and vegan catering.
